Assigning a location to new reports
When setting up a report you will need to select a Location from the dropdown shown below.
We'll pull in the data saved against that Location to populate as much of the form as possible, so you won't have to fill in the same details over and over.
Step 1: Create the Location in your BrightLocal account here https://tools.brightlocal.com/seo-tools/admin/clients-and-locations/add-location
Step 2: When you are setting up a report, choose a Location from the dropdown. This will also add the Location data in for you.
Assigning a Location to an existing report
If you have reports that aren’t assigned to a Location you can easily assign them so they appear in the Location dashboard. As of March 2020, we have made Locations a required field, so if you want to edit a report which isn't linked to a Location, you'll need to choose a Location before you can update the report.
Step 1: Create the location in your BrightLocal account here https://tools.brightlocal.com/seo-tools/admin/clients-and-locations/add-location
Step 2: Go to the report that you want to assign to a Location.
Step 3: Click Edit report
Step 4: Update the “Which Location is this report for?” box to the Location you want to add the report to.
Step 5: Success! The report will now appear in your Location dashboard!
