Every listing on the Agency Directory is manually verified by a member of the BrightLocal team to minimize the risk of spam or ineligible listings.
We aim to verify all listings within one week of these being submitted.
We check the details that you have supplied in your My Company and Agency Directory Details pages. If submitted details such as your location or business type do not match the criteria of the Agency Directory, we will not be able to publish your listing. Examples of this include if you are based in Germany and do not have a US office; or if you work for a restaurant rather than a marketing agency or consultancy. Additionally, if the email address associated with the account is not clearly tied to the agency that you are claiming, your listing may be rejected.
If your listing is rejected, you will receive an email with the subject line ‘Your Agency Directory listing did not pass verification checks’. This will be sent to the agency directory contact that you listed on the 'Agency Directory Details'. This email will explain why your listing was rejected.
If your listing was rejected due to incorrect information (such as inputting the wrong country), please correct these details and resubmit your listing for verification again.
If you believe your listing was rejected in error, please respond to your verification email, or contact support, to discuss this further.
