Apple Business Categories Update
Apple has recently updated its business categories in Maps, adding more top-level categories and subcategories to better align with customer search behavior. This update will now be reflected in Active Sync.
No action is required, though you can review the updated category in the Core Information section for your Locations. This is also a great opportunity to see if a newly added category better fits your business.
If you can’t find a suitable category, we suggest reaching out to Apple Business Connect Support for assistance.
Platform Improvement Updates
Location-centric model:
This ongoing piece of work allows users to streamline processes and improve data accuracy by managing all settings at the location level.
Google Business Profile Auto-Populates in Local Rank Tracker & Local Search Audit
When setting up Local Rank Tracker or Local Search Audit reports, you no longer need to manually enter your Google Business Profile. Now, when you select a Location, the profile set in the Core Information will automatically be pulled in. This helps ensure accuracy and prevents incorrect profiles from being added.
French and English Language Settings
If your business is located in Canada, you can customize the language settings to better suit your needs. You can choose between English and French and apply language preferences at the Location level. This means:
- The language chosen in Core Information will apply across the entire location, including all reports.
- Consistency will be maintained across all reporting and dashboard displays.
- Clients will receive reports in the same language as set for the Location.
