Data Aggregators/Networks are companies that collect data on local businesses such as their name, address, phone number, opening hours etc. in order to present it elsewhere online.
Data is verified and cleaned to ensure it is accurate, then sold (leased) to other companies in need of local business data.
Companies that typically buy this data are online directories (e.g. YP.com), local-mobile applications, and mapping and GPS companies (e.g. TomTom). Even search engines like Google might buy this data to compare it against their own databases, in order to make them as complete as possible.
These are the six Data Aggregators/Networks we currently submit to and the countries they cover:
- Neustar - US
- Data Axle - US, Canada
- Foursquare - All countries
- GPS Network - All countries
- YP Network - US
- Locafy Network - Australia
Using BrightLocal, you can update and submit business data to these aggregators/networks. Find out more here.
