When setting up a report you need to select a Location from the dropdown shown below (indicated by the red box).
We'll pull in the data saved against that Location to populate as much of the form as possible, so you won't have to repeatedly fill in the same details.
Simply follow these steps:
1. Create the Location in your BrightLocal account here: https://tools.brightlocal.com/seo-tools/admin/clients-and-locations/add-location
2. When setting up a report, choose a Location from the dropdown — this will also populate the Location data for you.
Assigning a Location to an existing report
Reports that aren’t assigned to a Location can easily be assigned so they appear in the Location dashboard.
We have made 'Locations' a required field, so if you want to edit a report which isn't linked to a Location, you'll need to choose a Location before you can update the report.
Here's the process to follow:
1. Create the Location in your BrightLocal account here: https://tools.brightlocal.com/seo-tools/admin/clients-and-locations/add-location
2. Go to the report that you wish to assign to a Location.
3. Click 'Edit Report Settings' (shown below within the red box).
4. Update the 'Which Location is this report for?' section (indicated by the red box below) to the Location for which the report will be added.
That's it! The report will now appear in your Location dashboard.
