When setting up your SMS template, you’ll notice there are only 115 characters available to compose your message, despite 160 characters being the standard maximum number that can be included in one SMS.
This is because we’ve already allocated 25 characters to the short link which takes your recipients to the ratings and feedback page, and another 20 for the mandatory ‘opt out’ instructions at the bottom of the message.
We’d highly recommend also including {{placeholders}} of First Name and Business Name (taking up 10 and 25 characters, respectively) if you’d like your messages to have a more personal touch. So all in all, you’ll still have 75 characters remaining to craft the wording of your SMS so it reflects your business or brand.
