Local AI Visibility uses four metrics to show you how your business shows up in AI search. These same metrics appear in the ‘Platforms, ‘Prompts', and ‘Competitors’ sections, so understanding them here will help you understand your Local AI Visibility.
Visibility score
Your overall presence across AI platforms. It combines how often you're mentioned, where you appear in answers, how positively you're described, and how strongly you're recommended to a score out of 100.
Mention rate
The share of AI answers that mention your business. A higher rate means AI platforms mention you more often.
If your mention rate is low, it usually means AI platforms don't have enough information to confidently recommend you.
Share of voice
Your share of all business mentions in AI answers, compared with your competitors. 100% means you're the only business named, so a higher figure is better.
A low share of voice, even with a decent mention rate, usually means you're being mentioned, but your competitors are being mentioned more.
Avg. position
Where your business typically appears in an AI answer when it's mentioned. A lower number means you show up earlier, in a more prominent spot.
If you're consistently appearing in a less favorable position, it’s worth investigating on a prompt-by-prompt basis rather than assuming it affects every search equally.
