What are prompts, and how many can I track?

A prompt is a natural-language question someone might ask an AI platform when they're searching for a business.

In Local AI Visibility, you can track up to 20 prompts, and each falls into one of two types: 

• Unbranded prompts don't mention your business by name. They reflect how a customer searches when they don't yet know you exist, which is often where the biggest opportunity lies.
   
• Branded prompts name your business directly and show you how AI platforms answer when someone's already looking for you specifically.

Each prompt you track has its own visibility score, average position, mention rate, and share of voice, so you can see exactly which questions you're winning and which you're not.

Clicking on a prompt shows you the breakdown of each metric across different AI platforms.

How do I add or edit my own prompts?

You can add, or remove prompts using the ‘Manage prompts’ button found at the top of the page.

Use prompts specific to your business that a generic suggestion wouldn't capture: a particular service you specialise in, a seasonal offer, or the exact phrasing you know customers use when they search for you.
