As many as you like. There is no limit to the number of users you can have associated with your BrightLocal account.
How do I add additional users?
Admins (Account Owners) can add additional users to the account by following this process:
1. Log into your BrightLocal account and click on 'Account Details' from the dropdown located in the top right-hand corner of your dashboard (shown by the red box below).
2. Click on the 'Users' tab, followed by the 'Add New User' green button.
3. Add the user's name and email address to the popup that appears. Then choose if they're a 'Standard User', 'Account Owner', or if they need a 'Read-only' account from the dropdown menu - find out the difference between the various types of users below.
4. When you're ready, click the 'Add New User' button to save the details.
We'll confirm that the new user has been added, and display the password that has been auto-created for them.
New users are sent an email inviting them to access BrightLocal, which includes their auto-created password — this can be changed at any time after logging in.
What is the difference between the various types of users on my account?
There are two different types of user that you can set up on your BrightLocal account:
Admin/Account Owner
The person who creates the account is automatically set as an Admin (Account Owner) user.
Admins have full access to the BrightLocal account including all account management functions. This means they can:
- Manage payment details
- Manage subscription plan types
- Change passwords
- Add new users
An account can have multiple Admin users, and this status can be set when adding a user to the account.
Standard User
Standard users can view and manage all locations and reports within the BrightLocal account.
However, they are not able to access account management pages, so they are not able to:
- Manage payment details
- Manage subscription plan types (including cancellations)
- Change passwords
- Add new users
Read-only
Read-only users can view and read all locations and reports within the BrightLocal account, but they cannot make any changes to anything.
