If you've turned on two-factor authentication (2FA), you'll be asked for a 6-digit code after you enter your email and password.
You use the same login page, authenticator app and backup codes for both the new and legacy platforms.
Log in with your authenticator app
- Enter your email and password on the login page.
- Open your authenticator app and find the code for BrightLocal.
- Enter the 6-digit code and continue.
Codes refresh every 30 seconds or so. If a code doesn't work, wait for a new one and try again.
Log in with a backup code
If you don't have your phone with you, you can use one of the backup codes you saved when you set up 2FA.
- Enter your email and password on the login page.
- On the code step, choose to use a backup code instead.
- Enter one of your unused backup codes.
Each backup code works once. Once you've used a code, cross it off or delete it from wherever you saved it.
I can't log in
-
Code not accepted: check the time on your phone is set automatically. Authenticator codes rely on the correct time.
-
New phone: if you've moved to a new phone, use a backup code to log in, then turn 2FA off and on again to set it up on the new phone. See: How to set up or disable two-factor authentication (New Platform).
- No phone and no backup codes: contact our support team for help regaining access.
