What happens if you find an existing listing on a directory when submitting business data using Citation Builder?

Before we submit a business to a directory, we always search the directory for that business's existing listings.

Both an automated and a manual lookup are performed to ensure that we identify all existing listings before proceeding with data submission.

If we find an existing listing and the business information is correct, we will skip it and submit the business data to a different (‘replacement’) directory.

Should the business information on existing listings be incorrect or incomplete, then we will claim the listing and update the data.
