We take care of all email verifications for sites that we submit to.
Here's a summary of how this works:
1. A unique email account is created for each initial citation campaign we work on. We use our own email solution/servers (e.g., brite-mail.com or mail-burst.com) rather than public email systems (Gmail, live-mail) because we have full control of the email accounts and don't get tripped up by the security questions and rules that services like Gmail impose.
Note: certain sites, however, will only accept Gmail and Outlook emails. In that case, we will create those credentials just for the sites in question and note them down in the campaign notes.
2. Once we've created the email account, we then create a user account on each directory we submit to, using the same email we created for the campaign, however, for security purposes, the password will be different - you will find them all under “Citation Login Credentials” button in your campaign report. All verification emails are sent to the same email address, and the Citation Submissions Professional who works on a campaign also handles the email verification steps.
3. At the end of each campaign, we display the email account access details on the campaign report. If needed, customers can log in to access their email accounts.
Please be aware that if certain sites require an official business email that matches the business website domain to verify the account setup/listing submission, and in that case, we will need your help with email verification.
If you have provided us with the business email address that we can use for this purpose, you will receive the email with the account activation link, which you will need to click on to complete the setup. Our team will leave all relevant notes and instructions that will help you with that in the campaign notes next to the relevant sites. These sites will also appear in the “Actions Required” section of your report.
Please note: We never delete or remove access to the email accounts. If a customer orders additional citations for a campaign, we reuse the same email address that was used on the first campaign.
