If you wish to permanently delete your BrightLocal account, you will need to submit a deletion request through our platform. Before deleting, please be aware of the following:
- Active citation campaigns: Any ongoing Citation Builder campaigns will be deleted along with your account. If you don’t want to lose those, consider waiting until campaigns are completed before deleting.
- Cancel subscriptions first: If you have an active paid subscription, you must cancel it before requesting account deletion. (The system will not allow deletion of accounts with active subscriptions.)
- Account owner & password: Only the Account Owner (not a standard user) can delete the account, and you’ll be prompted to enter your password to confirm.
To proceed, log in and click here for the Delete Account form (in your account settings or via the direct deletion link provided by support).
Once you confirm the deletion request, BrightLocal will process it and remove your account data within 30 days. Keep in mind that some data may be retained as required by law (see our Privacy Policy for details). If you change your mind during the deletion period, please contact us as soon as possible.
