If our tools aren’t finding your Google Business Profile listing, or it won’t sync, here are a few things to check:
Listing Verification
Make sure your business listing is verified on Google. Unverified or recently created listings will not appear in our search tool until they are fully published on Google.
Exact Name and Address
When using the “Find My Business” search in BrightLocal, enter the exact business name and address as they appear on Google. Typos or slight differences can prevent it from showing up. If your business has a unique Google Place ID, you can try connecting by that as well.
Google Account Permissions
If you’re connecting via your Google account, ensure you’re logged in with the account that has management access to that business profile. BrightLocal will need permission to access that profile.
Nestled within a Location Group
Google may hide the actual Google Business Profile within an account. Think of this like files in a folder, so you may need to first select the account ‘folder’ to find the correct Google Business Profile.
Still Not Found
If you still cannot locate or connect the GBP, our support team may be able to give you more guidance. Don’t hesitate to raise a support ticket if the automated search isn’t working. Once connected, BrightLocal will be able to pull in your GBP data for audits, rank tracking, etc.
