BrightLocal’s dashboard will reflect the status and hours of your Google Business Profile if you’re using features like Active Sync or have connected your GBP. If your business is appearing as “Closed” on all days in BrightLocal, it usually means that the hours in your Google profile might not be set properly, or the profile might have been accidentally marked as temporarily closed. Here’s what to do:
- Check Your Google Hours: Log in to your Google Business Profile and verify the opening hours. If no hours are set, BrightLocal could interpret that as closed (or Google may list you as “Closed” if nothing is specified). Update your hours on Google for each day of the week.
- Temporary Closure Status: Ensure the profile isn’t marked as “Temporarily closed” or similar on Google. If it is, mark it as open.
- Sync Update: After fixing the hours on Google, go back to BrightLocal. If you have Active Sync, it should update automatically within a day or so. You can also manually refresh or resync the location in BrightLocal (there may be a “Sync” or “Refresh data” button in the location settings).
Once the correct hours are in place on Google and the data syncs, BrightLocal should no longer display your business as closed on all days. If it still does, contact our support – there could be a syncing issue they need to investigate.
