Will using Citation Builder create duplicate listings on sites like Yelp or Google?

No – our process is designed to avoid creating duplicates. If your business already has a listing on a directory, our team will either update that existing listing when possible or leave it alone if they cannot access it, rather than making a new one on top of it.

For directories where we don’t have the login details and an existing listing is found, we typically won’t create another listing; instead, we’ll note in your report that the site already has a listing. This way, your existing citations remain intact. If a site absolutely requires a new submission (and no listing is found), only then will a new listing be created. Our goal is to update or supplement your citations, not duplicate them.
