Do I need an active subscription to use Citation Builder?

No. You do not need a paid BrightLocal subscription to use our Citation Builder (CB) service. We offer a free plan called 'Simply Listings' which allows you to access Citation Builder without any recurring subscription fee.

Many users subscribe to use all the tools, but if you cancel your main subscription after purchasing citation campaigns, you can transfer to the free Simply Listings plan. This means you retain access to your Citation Builder campaigns and can continue to order new citation work as needed, but you won’t have access to the other BrightLocal tools (like rank tracking, analytics, etc.) while on the free plan.

Importantly, cancelling your paid subscription will not delete or stop any ongoing citation campaigns; they will continue until completed. You won’t be charged monthly if you’re only on the free plan.

Just log in with your account and navigate to Citation Builder to manage or purchase campaigns.
